Mel speaks!!!

Well, I contacted Mel today through his UK eBay account, Mel3385.  I suggest you do the same if he owes you.

For what it's worth, I do think that he is trying to do the right thing.  He does seem to be attempting to avoid bankruptcy.  Obviously, if he had declared bankruptcy, we would all be out whatever he owes each of us.

I don't think that Mel went into business to run off with our guitars or deposits some seven years later.  It was a great shop, and obviously it drove him deeply into debt.  He did love that store, and he sold great guitars.

All that said, it is now incumbent upon Mel to do the right thing.  Let's hope he does.  I suggest contacting him through eBay and being courteous and direct.  When you here from him, which I believe you will, please leave comments here to share anything that you learn with the rest of us as there are a lot of us reading this site on a regular basis.

Good luck everyone!

I suggest contacting him through eBay and being courteous and direct.

Mel Isaacs, guitar thief, found at eBay...

You can find Mel happily selling items as Mel3385.  He is selling DVDs that he has never paid for and guitars that he took in trade before he ran off.  Guess old Mel must be selling the guitars that don't belong to him through a more private channel.

Why not drop Mel a note and let him know what you think of him?

And Mel, if you are reading this, know that we are going to find you.

Mel Isaacs stole my guitar

Mel Isaacs, proprietor of the now defunct London Resonator Centre on Denmark Street, walked off with the money he had gotten for my guitar that he had on consignment, along with those of many others.

Before you feel sorry for Mel, understand that he sold my guitar in January 2007, and yet when I had heard nothing from him and wrote to him in late February, he personally wrote me back on March 5th 2007 to say that he had just recently taken a deposit on my mint National Polyphonic and hoped to have the deal concluded within a week or two.

Obviously, his email was fraudulent, and he has dissapeared with my money.

I will be seeing to it that this page comes up high on Google's search list for Mel Isaacs, and encourage anyone else who has been defrauded and/or had their money stolen by Mel Isaacs to post here.

If you have any knowledge of Mel Isaac's whereabouts, please also post that here as sharing this knowledge will empower all of us to force Mel Isaacs to make things right.
